Het zijn wonderlijke wezens, die poppen van Duda Paiva. Ze hebben gekke koppen, vleugels en staarten, maar ook armen en benen...zijn het nou dieren of mensen? Zijn ze nou lief of juist heel gemeen?

Gelukkig heeft Narcissus de monsters onder controle. Hij laat zien wat zij allemaal kunnen: een koprol maken, dansen, zingen en zelfs vliegen. Maar monsters houden niet van kunstjes. Daarom komen ze in opstand en is opeens de vraag, wie nu werkelijk het beest is. Een ding is zeker: wat je ziet is niet wat je krijgt. Alles is steeds weer anders in deze slapstick voorstelling. 

Met zijn danspartners, gemaakt uit flexibel schuimrubber, bouwt Duda Paiva magische, soms pijnlijke werelden maar altijd zonder zijn gevoel voor humor te verliezen. Zijn poppen weerspiegelen de chaos van het dagelijks leven in de ons omringende wereld.

After the success of The Greeks DudaPaiva Company comes up with a new performance about the mysterious and funny figures from Greek mythology. Monsters! is about four mythological creatures, which as a result of divine intervention have become half man and half beast: the Minotaur, queen Lamia, Chiron the centaur and the Harpy.

These creatures of water, air, earth and fire share their stories with the audience and interact with them. The monsters can ask for the assistance of the audience, beware: Sometimes the most repulsive beast turns out to have a little heart and turns into the sweetest, innocent-looking old woman a scary witch; what you see is not what you get ... so do not judge people on their appearance!
